A couple decades late in to the fandom...but Dr. Who (mostly) rocks
If I were to describe Sae as a Time Lord and myself as the "plus one" ...well, that would pretty aptly sum up the relationship. It also explains why we never know where we are exactly or what day it is in our efforts to run around (usually) preventing the apocalypse.
